1989 Fender Stratocaster ST650-SPL Black, American Standard Template, Japan MIJ Fujigen

1989 Fender Stratocaster ST650-SPL Black, American Standard Template, Japan MIJ Fujigen

Up for sale, a 1989 Fender Stratocaster model ST650-SPL in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. An early and rare Fender Japan model made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and made at the Fujigen factory, the ST650-SPL was only offered from 1988-89, largely mirroring the specs of Fender’s American Standard model with identical hardware and tonewoods. Featuring an alder body and maple neck capped with a 22 fret maple fingerboard, this Strat has a snappy, lively acoustic profile. The trio of ST-Current ceramic magnet single coils have more punch and power than the typical alnico design, sounding distinct and clear in all positions on the five-way switch. If you're looking to deliver plenty of Strat power and sparkle, this particular pickup complement gets the job done. Weighing 8lbs 4oz, this Fender has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.
