1975 Burny FLG-70 Les Paul Standard Vintage Guitar Cherry Sunburst, Near-Mint w/ Case, Japan Fernandes

1975 Burny FLG-70 Les Paul Standard Vintage Guitar Cherry Sunburst, Near-Mint w/ Case, Japan Fernandes

Up for sale, a 1975 Burny FLG-70 ā€œLes Paulā€ in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Produced by Fernandes in Japan, Burny has long been celebrated for crafting some of the most impressive ā€œlawsuitā€ Les Paul iterations on the market. This is a particularly early example, still retaining the Les Paul branding on the ā€œopen bookā€ headstock.

The traditional tonewood complement includes a maple top, solid (non-weight relieved) mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard, and this FLG-70 weighs 9lbs 11oz. The pair of LP-1/LP-2 humbuckers are wound firmly in the PAF camp, delivering the smooth treble articulation, airy low end warmth, and tailored midrange clarity of that design, with a notably spongy chop at the bridge and rich breadth at the neck. This FLG-70 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Mahogany (one-piece)
-Shape: Slender ā€˜60s-style C, measuring .830ā€ 1st fret, .930ā€ 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, pearloid flared trapezoid inlays
-Frets: Medium, virtually no wear
-Scale Length: 24 3/4ā€
-Nut: 1 11/16ā€, Tusq (replacement)
-Headstock: ā€œOpen bookā€ shape, ā€œLes Paul Modelā€ script, early ā€œFernandesā€ logo truss rod cover
-Tuners: Gotoh, keystone buttons
-Serialization: 5-prefix stamp (1975 production)

Body Specs:

-Wood: Maple (three-piece, carved), mahogany
-Pickups: LP-1/LP-2 humbuckers, Neck: 7.5k ohms, Bridge: 8.1k
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone x2, Three-way pickup selector
-Harness: Modern CTS pots, Sprague ā€œblack beautyā€ tone caps (upgraded)
-Hardware: ABR-1-style bridge, stopbar
-Plastics: Amber bonnet knobs, cream pickguard

Extremely well-kept, cosmetic wear on the gloss Cherry Sunburst finish limited to light pick scuffing on top, a small area of faint buckle rash central to the back, and just a few minor marks on the body as a whole. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original rectangular black tolex hardshell case is included.
